vuscreen – thermal insulation with transparency

vuscreen by swela is an ultra modern sun and anti-glare shade for windows. The fabric shields against light reflection and mirroring. Many dessins also meet the statutory provisions for workstations. But the semi-transparent, translucent and air-permeable polyester fabric, which is based on sunsilk SNC, can do so much more.

Featuring an infrared reflective surface

A special pigmentation made from encapsulated aluminium particles makes the awning fabric an effective thermal insulator for windows. The fine pigments reflect infrared rays in the spectrum of 700 to 1,600 nanometres in wavelength. In this way, the transmission of thermal energy is significantly lowered by up to 70%. In addition to an aluminium-pigmented version, which offers a comfortable room temperature, the new swela fabric is also available with a fire-retardant coating for commercial properties.

FAQs

How should the design be formatted?

We can work with all known formats, such as ai, psd, psb, tif, pdf, eps or jpeg. The ideal format depends on the design itself and on the final size. We are happy to advise you.

How to define colours?

The colours should be clearly defined, e.g. using the RAL-, pantone- or NCS term.

Why can I not just send in a photo?

Colours on a photo come out differently, depending on the screen or the printer. A specific shade of green might look totally different here than in your office.

Where can I get help developing my design?

We are here to help you. If you only have a rough idea about the design you want, or if your pattern is not repeatable, our textile designer can develop a reproducible design according to your wishes.

What does "repeatable" mean?

A design is repeatable when it can be set next to itself without visible transitions between the pattern repeats.

Example for a repeatable design:
rapportfähig
Not repeatable:
nicht rapportfähig

Which basic can be used to what purpose?

We offer various fabrics to print on.
We are happy to advise you which basic is best suitable for you.

Which width can be printed on?

This depends on the basic. The upholstery fabrics are 140cm-150cm wide. Sun protective fabrics can be as wide as 320cm. However, the fabric cannot be used in its full width, because it will shrink a little in the printer.

Can you print any colour?

Basically, any colour can be reproduced as close as possible. However, it is not possible to print light colours on dark fabric. White cannot be printed. It can only be pictures on a white fabric by leaving blank parts.

What is the minimum quantity for customized printing ?

Minimum quantity is one roll of approx. 60m

How long does the printing take?

Among others, this depends on the design template. After the design has been confirmed, the printing process itself normally takes a maximum of 2-3 weeks.
